Dorothy Null Humphrey

CHESTERTOWN — Dorothy Null Humphrey of Chestertown died on Nov. 27, 2018 at Heron Point Com­mu­nity. She was 98.

She was born on Dec. 1, 1919 in Penn­syl­va­nia, the daugh­ter of the late Harold Miller and Mil­dred Herr Null.

Mrs. Humphrey was a grad­u­ate of Na­tional Cathe­dral High School in Washington, D.C. and at­tended art school. She worked as a li­brar­ian and later as dis­trict man­ager for an ad­ver­tis­ing com­pany while rais­ing her fam­ily. She re­tired in the early 1990s.

She was mar­ried to Glen E. Humphrey Sr. who pre- de­ceased her in 2007.

Mrs. Humphrey was a long­time mem­ber of St. Fran­cis in the Fields Epis­co­pal Church in Malvern, Pa., where she served on the Al­ter Guild. She en­joyed col­lect­ing an­tiques, gar­den­ing and travel.

She is sur­vived by her son Glen E. Humphrey Jr. of Lub­bock, Texas.

Ser­vices were held on Wed­nes­day, Dec. 5, at Wes­ley Hall, Heron Point, Chestertown. In­ter­ment will be in West Lau­rel Hill Ceme­tery in Bala Cyn­wyd, Pa. on Thurs­day.
