Wil­liam H. Rein­bold

CHESTERTOWN — Wil­liam Her­man Rein­bold of Chestertown died Nov. 30, 2018 at his home. He was 92. He was born in Wil­liamsport, Pa. on March 10, 1926, the son of the late Ge­orge W. and Emma Pearl Schram Rein­bold.

He served his coun­try in the U.S. Navy and was a Pur­ple Heart Re­cip­i­ent. Mr. Rein­bold was the epit­ome of a na­ture lover, he nursed baby birds back to heath, en­joyed be­ing in and around na­ture and an­i­mals and taught his fam­ily to re­spect and ap­pre­ci­ate na­ture. His love of na­ture in­spired him to be­come a re­spected artist mak­ing

not only jew­elry, but bird carv­ings. He also was an in­ven­tor and al­ways wanted to help to “make a bet­ter mouse trap.”

He is sur­vived by his wife Cather­ine Vig­gars Rein­bold; two daugh­ters, Amy R. Ogram of Coatesville, Pa. and Linda R. Poirier of LeGrange, Maine; and three sons, Wil­liam James Rein­bold of Laden­berg, Pa., Carl Wm. Rein­bold of Wilm­ing­ton, Del. and An­drew Wm. Rein­bold of Greens­boro, N.C.

A ser­vice will be held at 2 p.m. Dec. 15, at Fel­lows, Helfen­bein and New­nam Funeral Home, 130 Speer Road, Chestertown.
