BREMERTON - Harry Madche, 94, of Bremerton, WA passed away Saturday March 23, 2024.

He was born January 21, 1930, to Jake and Olga Madche of Alfred North Dakota.

Being a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War was very important to him.

He met and married his wife and lifelong partner Delight in September 1955.

His working career consisted of numerous occupation­s. He worked the crop fields as a young man and at a bakery and drove a bread delivery truck. He went on to become an auto mechanic at various locations, the last being Parr Ford, which when he started at the dealership in 1967 it was Bennett Ford in downtown Bremerton. After retiring from the Ford dealership, he went on to work for Pro Rentals as a mechanic. His final working days were spent being the maintenanc­e/ groundskee­per in the community where they have resided for the last 30+ years.

He enjoyed music both listening and playing. He was able to play various instrument­s which were all self-taught. He along with his wife and other members had a country and western band where they would play for local dances in North Dakota and Washington. He loved to go to OKTOBERFES­T in Mt. Angel, OR and Leavenwort­h, WA. He enjoyed fishing, Lionel trains, swap meets, garage sales, and cooking. He will always be known for his amazing story telling capabiliti­es.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother, two sisters and his youngest son Brad Madche. He is survived by his wife Delight Madche, son Terry (Shannon) Madche, daughter Sheila (Pat) Coxon, son Jeff (Debbie) Madche, three grandchild­ren and ten great grandchild­ren.
