KNOXVILLE - Glenda Faye Barbee Jolly, age 78, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed from this earth to her Heavenly home Thursday, September 14, 2023. She was a member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church where she was active in the Women of Grace Ministry. Glenda was retired from Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center where she worked as a Respirator­y Therapist for 42 years. She continued to enjoy spending time with her co-workers and other close friends. Her love of photograph­y was a blessing to all. She would frequently take the time to organize the photos into albums that she would give as gifts. Her sweetness, ability to love unconditio­nally and kindness were her greatest gifts of all. Preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Howard Jolly; parents, Sanford and Gladys Barbee; brothers, Sanford Barbee, Jr. and Mayford Barbee; sister, Wilma Purkey. Glenda is survived by her sons, Tim Jolly and Tony Jolly and wife, Amanda; granddaugh­ters, Madison and husband, Mason Dalton and Brooklyn Jolly; granddog, Emmy; several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends from 3-5 pm, Sunday, September 17, 2023 in the Chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Hwy. with a Celebratio­n of Life Service to follow at 5 pm. Rev. Chris Morgan officiatin­g. Family and friends will meet at Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery, 1130 Mountain View Church Rd, Jefferson City, TN 37760 on Monday, September 18, 2023 at 1 pm. for graveside services. Pallbearer­s will be William Thomas Jolly, Jr., William Thomas Jolly, III, Dwayne Jolly, David Purkey, Roger Hall and John Irwin. Honorary Pallbearer­s, Larry Jolly, Brian Trainer and Mason Dalton.
