Glen Brock-age 84 of Washburn born March

29, 1939 passed away peacefully Monday September 25, 2023 at his home. He was a member of Pennington Chapel Baptist Church. Alvin was a retired employee of Kroger’s in Halls. Preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Lois Brock; son, Ray Brock; sister, Ruby Idol; brother, Raymond Brock; grandson, Anthony Brock.

He is survived by wife of 64 years, Pauline Brock; daughters, Gail Nicely and husband Elmer, Karen Chesney and husband Calvin; son, Darrell Brock and wife Sharon; daughter-in-law, Angela Brock; grandchild­ren, Jason Brock and girlfriend Tish Johnson, Samantha Fox and husband Chris, Brad Chesney, Adam Nicely and wife Ashley, Stephanie Lambert and husband Matt, Andrea Clay and husband Josh, Chad Chesney, Eric Nicely and wife Tesha, Travis Brock and wife Sara, Megan Nicely; 19 great grandchild­ren and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Chinta, UT Hospice and caregiver, Taylor Sexton.

The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, September 27, 2023 with the funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Gabril Haynes and Rev. Adam Nicely officiatin­g, with music by Janice Munsey and grandchild­ren. Interment 11:00 am Thursday, September 28, 2023 in Yadon Cemetery, Maynardvil­le. Pallbearer­s: Grandsons. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 am Thursday at the funeral home to go in procession. Arrangemen­ts by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardvil­le.
