KNOXVILLE - June Rose Ulewicz, age 78, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2023, at her home after a long struggle with ALS. She passed peacefully with her son, Jonathan, her caregivers, and her dog Remy by her side.

She was a member of St Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Lenoir City.

June was born in Carroll, Iowa, went to school in Council Bluffs, Iowa, attended college in Warrensburg, Missouri, where she met the love of her life, Bill. They were married for 53 years. June never missed an opportunity to make new friends, good friends, lifelong friends. It was her gift. She blessed the lives of each one, and was blessed by them.

Before ALS became her journey, she loved to do yoga and she walked Remy 3-5 miles a day. The highlight of her day as her disease progressed, was to watch Remy retrieve nerf balls mid-air. People would stop in their cars to watch Remi perform. It always made her so happy.
