KNOXVILLE - James Edward “Eddie” Thompson, age 65 of Knoxville, went peacefully to be with the Lord on Friday, December 8, 2023. Born in Lenoir City, TN on January 17, 1958, Eddie was preceded in death by his loving parents, James Lincoln Thompson and Barbara Dealia Miller Thompson; sister, Judy Crass; brother-in-law, Roy Hattley; and his love, Pamela Pearce. He is survived by his daughters, Rachael Accavitti and Lacee Campbell; sister, June Hattley; brother-inlaw, Bobby Crass; son-in-law, Nick Campbell; and grandsons and other loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Eddie graduated from Lenoir City High School and later went to college, graduating with his Bachelors degree in Business Administra­tion from the University of Tennessee. He worked careers in sales and mortgage/finance throughout his adult life and loved learning. He could tell you anything you wanted to know, especially about sports. He was an avid golfer and loved fishing. He was the life of the party and would light up any conversati­on by making those around him laugh. His sense of humor carried with him, even in his last few days here on earth. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 12th between 5-7p.m. at Silver Ridge Baptist Church in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home by 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning, and proceed to the Lenoir City Cemetery for graveside services and interment.
