- The fascinating life journey of Aaron Christopher

Smith came to a waytoo-early end March 16 in a motorcycle accident. Aaron, 33, was a Knoxville native, a graduate of West High School and Pellissippi State Community College. He was happily employed at Screentime Productions.

Those are the facts. Aaron was so much more than that.

He was a dedicated father. He was an entertaining friend, son, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle and grandson to a wide circle that is poorer for his loss. Aaron was a backyard guitarist and self-taught pianist who loved to sing, sometimes on pitch. He was a voracious reader, perhaps the world-record-holder for the J.R.R. Tolkien Middle-earth sagas. The ink from his most recent “Lord of the Rings” tattoo was barely dry.

His search for a career took several turns. In time he became a skilled carpenter, capable of comprehensive remodeling jobs. That would have made his late grandfathers especially proud. Aaron is survived by his son Arlo, his mother Amy Smith and his fathers, Jeff Tallent and Mike Strange. Also, by his sister Alice Strange Meder (husband, Rick), brother Ben Tallent, loving partner Kirsten Martin, former wife Camlin Nicholls, grandmother Julia Smith, several aunts and uncles and a host of cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother Joel Smith.

Family and Friends will gather on Friday, March 22, 2024 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm for a celebration of life at Ancient Lore Village, 7107 Sevierville Pike, Knoxville, TN 37920. Online condolences and fond memories may be shared with the Smith family at www.berryfuneralhome.com Berry Funeral Home
