Doris Lillian Johnson
- Doris Lillian Johnson, age 96, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024. Doris was born and raised in the East Tennessee, she loved the mountains and everything that went along with them. She was of the Baptist faith and was a life-long member of Valley Grove Baptist Church, where she enjoyed singing from time to time. In her later years she enjoyed traveling with her sister Bonnie and her church family to many destinations across our beautiful country. She was a true Christian lady and a wonderful mother, and nana.
She was preceded in passing by her husband Lindsay F. Johnson Jr.; parents; Lillie Mae Maples and Mark W. Johnson; son, Mark Lindsay Johnson; sister, Margaret (Wally) E. Kee; brother, Carter “Cot” W. Johnson; brother-in-law, Frosty Johnson; son-in-law, Jim Monday.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving children, Becky Monday, Angela (Preston) Vineyard, Jeff (Karen) Johnson; beloved sister, Bonnie Johnson; grandchildren, Eric (Paige) Johnson, Julie (Brian) Roe, Tyler (Lora) Vineyard, Brandon (Lauren) Johnson, Brittney (Chris) Bright; great-grandchildren, Lexi Johnson, Brady Johnson, Holly Johnson, Henley Roe, Bennett Roe, Charlie Johnson, Destin Vineyard, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. Family and friends will gather at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, Knoxville, TN 37920 on Saturday, March 23, 2024, with a visitation from 1:00pm to 2:00pm and a funeral service to follow at 2:00pm. Family and friends will meet at Valley Grove Baptist Church, 9000 Sevierville Pike, Knoxville, TN 37920 for a committal service directly following the funeral service at approximately 3:45pm.
