Ann Anke, 68, of Seviervill­e passed on and joined our Lord in heaven on April 4th, 2024, after a battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her close family at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. Rose was born in Adams, WI on December 3rd, 1955, to Robert and Margaret (Wittenkell­er) Armstrong. She married the love of her life in 1987 and enjoyed 36 years of marriage. In addition to being an incredible wife and mother, she worked as a secretary for her husband’s business for 26 years, while also working at Hammer’s Dry Goods in Seviervill­e for 10 years.

Rose enjoyed knitting, sewing, and crocheting, and you could always find her making things for the people she loved. She also enjoyed gardening. Above everything else her favorite thing to do was spend time with her family and her dog Maya-Jane.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Anke; her two sons, Michael (Milana Reinitz) Anke and Kirk Anke; and daughter, Margie (David) Herr. She is also survived by her sisters, Nancy Walker, Margie Rider, Barb Ramsey, Julie Gale; and brother, Jim (Susie) Armstrong; as well as two grandchild­ren, Dewayne and Madison Herr.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father; her sister, Susan Billhorn, her sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Ken Keller; her sister, Carol Meyer; her brothers, Jack and Bob Armstrong; her brother-in-law, Wayne Gale; and her step-father, John Granacher.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Thursday, April 11th with the Celebratio­n of Life to follow at 7 PM Thursday at Atchley’s Seymour Chapel, 122 Peacock Ct., Seymour, TN 37865. Online condolence­s may be made at www.atchleyfun­eralhome.com.
