-

- Timothy John Williams, age 58, left this world too soon and suddenly to begin his next grand adventure on April 3, 2024. He was deeply dedicated to his family, friends, and service of his community. His greatest joys in life were his son, Cory and granddaughter, Adalyn

Grace.

Tim was a devoted firefighter and EMT, protecting his communities from a young age until his recent retirement. During his long career in the emergency services, Tim worked with the Knoxville Volunteer Rescue Squad, Rural Metro Fire Department, Alcoa City Fire Department, and many other volunteer fire and rescue organizations. Everyone knew he was prepared for any possible situation or emergency. He treated people with love, respect, and compassion at each fire and rescue call. In his private life, Tim was an avid outdoorsman, some of his favorite moments were spent on the Tellico or Clinch Rivers looking for trout. He managed to find quite a few. Tim leaves behind his beloved wife, Julie Ratledge; devoted son, Cory John (Raissa) Williams; granddaughter, Adalyn Grace; sisters, Nancy (John)Williams, Mary Pat (Chris) Williams, Alison (Joe) Lima, and Amanda Clarke; brothers Eamonn (Danielle) Clarke, and John (Carol) Clarke; a trove of nephews, nieces, and devoted friends. He joins his parents, Robert and Mary Jo and brother, Matthew in death. As we bid farewell to a truly remarkable soul, we find solace in the countless memories and the indelible marks he left on our hearts. His legacy is not just in the love he shared, but in the lives he enriched and the unwavering bonds of family and friendship he nurtured. A celebration of Tim’s life with complete fire honors will be held at the Alcoa Fire Department, Station 1, 2010 N. Wright Road, in Alcoa, on Saturday, April 13, 2024. The family will welcome friends from 12:00p.m. to 2:00p.m., with a service to follow at 2:00p.m., where friends and family are encouraged to share their favorite memories. Tim’s interment will be held privately by family and close friends. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Tim’s memory to a Volunteer Fire Department or Veteran charity of your choice.
