Ailor George – age 90 of Knoxville, passed away Wednesday, April 10,

2024 at Morning Pointe

Assisted Living with her daughter by her side.

She was a born again Christian and longtime member of Beaver Dam

Baptist Church, where she participat­ed in many ministries throughout the years. Phyllis enjoyed hosting family and friends in her home and was a wonderful cook - especially chicken and dumplings. She worked hard alongside her husband, Bill George, in his constructi­on business and farming. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill George: son, Judson George; parents, Earl and Thelma Ailor; and brother, E. J. Ailor. Phyllis is survived by her children and spouses, Julia and Danny Cox, Rena and Gary Beeler and Kendall and Tammy George; nine grandchild­ren and thirteen great grandchild­ren, with two more on the way. The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Beaver Dam Baptist Church in Halls. The funeral service to follow with Dr. Alan Price and Reverend Mike Bundon officiatin­g. Family and friends will meet 12:45 p.m., Friday, April 12, 2024 at Lynnhurst Cemetery, 2300 Adair Dr., Knoxville, TN 37918, for a 1:00 p.m. graveside service conducted by Mark George. Serving as pallbearer­s, are grandsons, Creed and Jordan Cox, Christophe­r and Garrett Beeler, Jay Cooper, Eli Hardin, Brandon Gibson and Lawson George.
