Dorothy Jean Kelly Parker
- Dorothy Jean Parker, age 93, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. She was a longtime member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where she participated and was a very active member of the Relief Society for many years. She was very involved in translating german records for genealogy purposes, sitting in front of a mico film machine for hours. She was a very caring person and loved her family dearly especially the large family dinners and hosting groups at their house in Gatlinburg. Dorothy will truly be missed by all who had the privilege to call her friend. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Henry Travis Parker Jr; parents, Clifford and Stella Kelly; brothers, Kenneth Kelly, James “Bud” Kelly, Clyde Kelly; sisters, Helen Kelly, Carol McCarter; grandson, Matthew Warren Norwood; step-daughter, Theresa Parker; great-niece, Heather McCloud. Dorothy is survived by her loving son, Stephen Wallace (Barbara) Norwood; step-children, Donald (Jackie) Parker, David (Jacque) Parker, Timothy (Guin) Parker, Francine Parker; grandchildren, Stephen Michael Norwood, Angela (Matt) Boepple, Jeff (Delcia) Parker, Kinzey Holm, Deanna (Brad) Carter, Billy Mizell; great-grandchildren, Rebecca Dawn Norwood, Morgan Fox, Ian Fox, Bergan Holm, Mason Mizell; nieces, Becky Johnson, Nancy Gambill, Vicki McCloud, Kim Kelly, Kristi Roe; nephews, MIchael Ray Kelly, Kevin Kelly, Mike Kelly, Shawn Davis, Kelly Brown; great-nephews, Brad Musgrave, Travis Musgrave, Austin Musgrave; great-nieces, Jenny Saunders, Laura Musgrave, Sarah Musgrave, Loretta Kelly, Mendy Sepesi, Lindsey Savage, Kendall Kelly, special greatgreat nephew, Maison Colquitt, and many close friends. Family and friends will honor the legacy of Dorothy on Monday, April 15, 2024 with a visitation from 5:00pm to 7:00pm with a funeral service to follow at 7:00pm at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, Knoxville, TN 37920. Family and friends will gather at Berry Funeral Home, on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at 12:45pm to go in procession to East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 2200 E Governor John Sevier Highway, Knoxville, TN 37920 for a 2:00pm committal service. Services will be officiated by Bishop Todd Gilbay and Brother Albert Harris, active pallbearers will be Brad Musgrave, Travis Musgrave, Austin Musgrave, Michael Norwood, Mike Kelly, Donald Parker.
