SOUTH KNOXVILLE - Paul Richard Langford, 81, of South Knoxville, passed away on May 15, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Rejoicing is now in order as his seven-year battle with Alzheimer’s disease has ended, and his heavenly home, for which he made arrangemen­ts to inhabit over 60 years ago, is now vibrant and glowing with Paul’s joy and eagerness to worship his Savior, now face to face! Nothing gave Paul more joy than his family and especially the true love of his life, Delores Jean Copeland Langford, with whom he was married for nearly 59 years. Their marriage produced 3 children, 8 grandchild­ren, and 1 great-grandchild! Paul retired from NCR in 1993, and continued to work in the cash register industry for 14 additional years. He loved his work and truly exhibited his integrity and hard, yet enjoyable, work ethic to all who knew him. He was always loving, always joyful and loved to talk to anyone that would listen to him! He had also been a faithful member of Galilee, Mount Olive, and Sevier Heights Baptist Churches for over 50 years, joyfully serving in many capacities, from Treasurer to Deacon. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Mary Langford and his brother, Wayne Langford. Survivors include his beautiful and caring wife of nearly 59 years, Delores Jean Copeland Langford; Sons and Daughters-in-law; Scott and Ria Langford, Mike and Michelle Langford; Daughter and Son-in-law Missy and Micheal Turner; eight beloved Grandchild­ren; Katie Langford (Alex) Butler, Emily Langford, Jeremy Langford, Sarah Langford (Gaige) Green, Connor Langford, Bryce Langford, Madison Turner, Spencer Turner and one beloved Great-Grandchild, Wesley Wayne Green; sister, Wanda (Leon) Robinson and brother, Don (Beth) Langford. A visitation will be held Friday, May 17, 2024 between the hours of 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Greg Williams officiatin­g . Family and friends will meet Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, 3176 Airport Hwy, Alcoa, Tennessee 37701 for a 1:00 PM Interment Service with Rev. Chris Morgan officiatin­g. .
