LOUDON - Heaven has welcomed another angel. Ann Harrill, 75 of Loudon, went to be with the Lord on May 20, 2024. She was born on August 31, 1948 in Mascot, Tennessee.

Ann, formerly of Knoxville and Mascot, Tennessee, was preceded in death by her parents: Robert Sr and Elsie Satterfiel­d. Infant daughter: Angela Faye Ford. Sister: Mary Romines and Carolyn Kupekus. Brothers: Robert Satterfiel­d Jr, Bill Satterfiel­d, and Jimmy Satterfiel­d. She is survived by her devoted husband of 33 years, Gene Harrill. Daughters: Anna (Steven) Beasley and Belinda (James) Hooks of Loudon. Son: Leon (Kimberly) Ford of Westel, Tennessee. Sisters: Faye (Frank) Yarnell and Margaret Adkins. Brothers: Terry (Vivian) Satterfiel­d and Ricky (Angie) Satterfiel­d. 10 grandchild­ren and 12 great-grandchild­ren.

Ann was a graduate of Carter High School (1966) and Hiwassee Jr College (1968). She enjoyed working with children. She worked for over 25 years at KinderCare Learning Center in Knoxville on Blue Grass Road.

She was an active member of Rocky Hill Baptist Church in Knoxville for over 33 years, where she had many friends and blessed many children’s lives in Children’s Church.

Ann and Gene enjoyed traveling and going to Lady Vols basketball games with friends Don and Norma Huddleston.

We honor the life of Ann, a remarkable lady who, in the latter years of her life, bravely faced the challenges of Alzheimer’s Disease. This is not only a farewell but a celebratio­n of the enduring spirit and the richness of a life that was so beautifull­y lived.

Funeral Services with be 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 23, 2024 in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Whaley officiatin­g. The graveside service will follow at McMinn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12-2 pm Thursday before the service at the funeral home. Pallbearer­s will be Swade Bryant, Rylee Henderson, Dustin Carpenter, Dustin Hooks, Hunter Myers, Ethan Ford and Tyler Nix. In Lieu of flowers, the family asks you to donate to the Alzheimer’s Associatio­n.
