THD hosts a safe house clinic Nov. 16
Tulsa, OK - - On Friday, Nov. 16, the Tulsa Health Department (THD) will be hosting a workshop on safe housing, which will be completely free of charge and open to all the public.
If you own or rent a house it is important to learn about your rights and responsibilities. On this occasion the staff of the THD will focus on the minimum security standards with we have to comply while offering housing, including information on electrical and mechanical supplies, plumbing, safe heating devices, amount of residents per house, and more.
The workshop will supply information on the international code of property maintenance, the law of owners and tenants of Oklahoma and the law of fair housing, which protects residents against discrimination.
If you want to attend this workshop, or if you are a realtor, apartment manager, owner, or tenant, do not hesitate to participate. The workshop will be held on November 16th from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm at the Welfare and Health Regional Center, located at 5635 N. MLK Jr. Blvd. 74126. This program is presented by the Environmental Health Services Program at the THD and Legal Help Services Oklahoma.
