“ME ASUSTA” J Balvin habló de cómo se prepara para asumir su rol como padre

Hace algunos meses, el reguetonero colombiano J Balvin y su novia, la modelo argentina Valentina Ferrer, anunciaron que están a la espera de su primer bebé. Ahora, el cantante se sirvió en contar cómo se siente ante la víspera de su primogénito.

A pesar de ser muy hermético con su vida personal, el colombiano mencionó sus temores al tener un hijo. Aunque siempre ha tenido el sueño de tener una familia y ahora mostrarse muy feliz por la criatura que pronto llegará a su vida, el artista también reconoció sentir un poco de miedo en ciertos aspectos de la paternidad.

En una entrevista paraentertainment Tonight, Balvin explicó lo que más teme: “Voy a tener un bebé. Me asusta el hecho de que es otra vida. Y a veces, sabemos que la vida es tan desafiante que a veces sientes que no puedes aguantarte a ti mismo y ¿cómo vas a ayudar a tu hijo a ser más fuerte, mejor que tú?”, se sinceró.

Pero el temor no es un obstáculo para el productor musical, quien a pesar de destacar que es algo totalmente nuevo para él; agregó que todos sus conocimientos como padre irán llegando y quiere convertirse en el mejor amigo de Rio: “¡Voy a ser su mejor amigo! Eso es lo que quiero ser, sí”.

Esta sería la primera vez que el intérprete de Tu Veneno habla sobre su bebé. También recientemente, el reguetonero compartió un video en el que dio a conocer su posición con la situación actual que enfrenta su país natal Colombia, y comentó que quisiera que su bebé crezca en Colombia orgulloso de ser colombiano y de donde viene su padre.

J Balvin is looking forward to the next chapter of his life; becoming a father.

The 35-year-old Colombian singer is expecting his first child with girlfriend Valentina Ferrer, and couldn't be happier to start this new journey into fatherhood.

"I'm having a baby," he told ET'S Denny Directo while promoting his new documentary, The Boy From Medellín, before sharing what scares him about becoming a first-time dad. "It scares me the fact that it's another life. And sometimes, we know life is so challenging that sometimes you feel that you cannot put up with yourself and how [are] you going to help your kid be stronger, better than you?"

"But I think that will come," he added. "But let's see, it's something new for me. Totally new."

ET previously asked Balvin what type of father he would be to his baby, to which he replied, "I'm gonna be his best friend! That's what I want to be, yeah."

As for his latest project, The Boy From Medellín was filmed in 2019 during a string of heated and violent protests all over Colombia that threatened to cancel Balvin’s long-awaited concert in his hometown. The movie is full of telling moments that showcase the question of what fans around the world have come to expect from their beloved stars during heightened political turning points.
