Teresa Mendoza starts 2022 with everything, well The Queen of the South, second season It is now available for you to view. With emotion, the actress Kate del Castillo shared the news with Infobae and also commented on how she feels after getting COVID-19, since in previous days it was known that she had tested positive.

“I already tested negative. I feel great, thank God nothing strong hit me, it was just a sore throat, a cough and a little headache for two days, but really nothing strong, “confessed the actress.

Before this second season, Kate del Castillo told us the surprises that viewers are going to see in these new chapters, for which she commented that there is a very good production.

“This second season is very hard, It already comes with very important production values, with incredible places that you are going to see like Russia, Spain, Italy. You are going to see a huge series where we did not have covid, so it was much easier and a Teresa Mendoza who was, let’s say, these nine or ten real years that we were away, that there was no other season, and the character already has a daughter of a certain age and that is the only thing Teresa lives for”.

The return of Teresa’s character makes many of the viewers want to see what is next in the series, to which the actress said that “A lot of things are going to happen that are going to put her to work and to do things that she no longer wanted and that she was already out of it to get her daughter back.”

Part of the success of La Reina del Sur is that it has great actors and has a plot that many have been interested in, but Kate del Castillo recalled why she accepted this series.

“For me, the most important thing is the story, but there is also a lot of action, it has already become a action thriller Because that is what it is. For people who like action, they will have it in every episode, because every episode is incredible. It is the most ambitious series in all of Latin America and the largest, so they will not be disappointed in that regard,” he reinforced.

“It was a lot of fun for me to do a lot of action stuff, I love action and we had a lot of fun. New characters are added.

Some died, but they’re still there, Teresa Mendoza’s entire gang is still there, so it’s going to be a super cool reunion.”

Something that can be witnessed in this second season that premieres in Telemundo, is the production and all the effort that the production team made to continue with the story of Teresa Mendoza, that is why the actress recognized that the series grew a lot.

“There are a couple of people there in the production that were there from the first season, even now that I recorded the third season, there are also people who were there from the first so it is great to see how it grew Telemundo and seeing now that the production values are gigantic, it’s certainly another era for Telemundo and for the Queen of the South, to be in such a big production.”

“The first season is full of heart and the second season is full of heart and money that you see on the screen“, he pointed.

And this story would not have been possible without the work of the writer Arturo Perez-reverte that in 2002 the book of this series was published. For which Kate del Castillo was asked about her relationship with the author.

“I went to Spain before the second season began, with Marcos Santana who is our ´Showrunner´, because he, suddenly imagine, that Arturo Pérez Reverte was ´picking´ me, him other executives and the then writer Robert Stopello. The series was hitting us. The second season, the structure and all that.”

“I have good communication with him, he is a charming man, who I admire and respect a lot and that he also did me for what I know he said and for the love he has for me, “he confessed.

“For him too, the Queen of the South is Teresa Mendoza, above all she is a character, for him, one of his favorites that he has written, so he loves and cares for him.”

On television and in these seasons we are going to see a Teresa Mendoza in many action scenes, and this is where Kate del Castillo told us what she does for Separate yourself from your role and your life.

“I am a very practical actress: when they say action, it is action. When they say cut, cut. I’m going home after the cut, as I am. It has never affected me and I know how to leave my character where I have to leave it, I never take it home. But what I do, is that I need an important discipline and an important training to be able to do all the scenes that are there and do a little bit of everything. I’m not an expert in anything, but at least I do the ‘pull’ to make it look like I do know.”

“I also have an incredible team that makes you look super well prepared people, who are the ‘stones’, who help you to be everything and to see that you are an expert,” he mentioned.
