Twitter Flock: A version of the “Best Friends” button
The Twitter platform could be working on the Best Friends button, similar to the one Instagram stories have. The specialized technology medium Xataka reported that the platform has continued to explore this possibility since it was raised, for the first time, in July 2021. On this occasion, the technology expert Alessandro Paluzzi revealed on Twitter that the app develops this option under the name from Twitter Flock.
The button would work similar to the Best friends on Instagram and will allow posting tweets for a limited audience on Twitter. Only those who are in the group of friends (or Flock) will be able to see and reply to them. Up to 150 followers can be added to this list.
The first time this feature was heard of in Twitter it was last year when the developers were still working on how to implement it. Xataka points out that, half a year later, it seems that its launch will happen at any moment.
The feature isn’t live yet, though Alessandro Paluzzi’s screenshot reveals some of its features. The friends list can contain up to 150 accounts, and it will be possible to modify the list at any time. If someone edits your list of best friends, you will not be notified.
What is not yet known is whether Flock will be part of the subscription Twitter Blue or will be available to everyone.
There is still no specific date for the arrival of this feature and it will be a matter of time before we see an announcement from the company in its application with the arrival of Twitter Flock and how to use it in the future.
