“Encanto” se alzó con el Bafta a la mejor película de animación
“Encanto” wins the Bafta for best animated film
La película de Disney “Encanto”, un musical animado sobre una peculiar familia de Colombia, se alzó este domingo con el Bafta a mejor película de animación en la edición 75 de los premios de la Academia del Cine Británico.
En la ceremonia celebrado en el Royal Albert Hall de Londres, la película se impuso, en la única categoría en la que estaba nominada, a “Flee”, “Luca”, y “The Mitchells vs the Machines”.
La productora Yvett Merino y el guionista de la película, Jared Bush, subieron al escenario a recoger el premio de manos de Daisy Edgar-jones y Sebastian San.
“Gracias Bafta por esto, era un sueño crear una película así desde que era pequeña. Juntar en una historia a personas con diferentes personalidades, diferentes colores de piel. Cuyas voces son escuchadas”, dijo Merino sobre el film que se inspira en la obra de Gabriel García Márquez “Cien años de soledad”.
“Encanto” llegará a los próximos Óscar del 28 de marzo, con tres nominaciones: Mejor Película de Animación, Mejor canción y Mejor Banda Sonora.
The Disney movie “Encanto” was raised this Sunday, March 13 with the Bafta for best animated film at the 75th edition of the British Film Academy Awards.
At the ceremony held at the Royal Albert Hall in Londonthe film won, in the only category in which it was nominated, “Flee”, “Luca”, and “The Mitchells vs. the Machines”.
The producer Yvett Merino and the film’s screenwriter,
Jared Bush, took the stage to collect the award from Daisy Edgar-jones and Sebastian San.
“Thank you Bafta for this, it was a dream to create a film like this since I was little. To bring together in a story people with different personalities, different skin colors. Whose voices are heard,” said Merino about the film that is inspired by the work. Gabriel García Márquez’s “One Hundred Years of Solitude”.
“Charm” will hit the next Oscar on March 28, with three nominations: Best Animated Film, Best Song and Best Soundtrack.
