An Arrest Warrant Was Issued Against Don Omar In Bolivia

Urban singer Don Omar faces an arrest warrant in Bolivia after Nancy Carrasco, who specialize­s in patrimonia­l crimes, ordered it this Saturday in the Santa Cruz de la Sierra district.

An arrest warrant has been issued against the artist, William Omar Landron, with the intention of testifying in the financial and economic unit of Santa Cruz’s crimefight­ing special forces in connection with the aggravated fraud, Colombian newspaper Time reported.

Along with Dan Omar, his brother Hector Luis Landrón Rivera is cited, as well as reggaeton singers Félix Gerardo Ortiz and Gabriel Enrique Pizarro, known as Zion and Lennox.

The arrest warrant was issued following a complaint filed by the Deputy Ministry of User and Consumer Protection after the artiste’s concert scheduled for Thursday, January 19 in La Paz was suspended.

It should be noted that this concert was held the other day and the concert scheduled for yesterday in Santa Cruz will be held today, Saturday.

The suspension was due to difficulti­es in traveling to the artist’s country.

The artist’s office explained the reason for the delay in a statement, in which it indicated that the company contracted to provide him with air transporta­tion from the state of Florida unexpected­ly changed the assigned aircraft to one with low flight autonomy (range), which compromise­d safety.
