Ford Field received their team's rst game in the playoff with an exciting victory vs. Rams

The Detroit Lions played their Brst playoff game at home at Ford Field (premiered in 2002) and managed to break a 32-year-old curse without a victory in the postseason since the 1991 season (December 1992) by agoningly beating a score of 24-23 a very worthy Los Angeles Rams.

In the Brst offensive series, the Lions took advantage of the emotional impulse of their fans and opened the scoreboard with a oneyard carry from David Montgomery, however, the Rams responded immediately with a 24-yard Beld goal from Brett Maher to put the score 7-3.

However, Detroit did not take his foot off the accelerator and even in the Brst quarter, Jahmyr Gibbs expanded the locals advantage thanks to a 10-yard run, already in the second period, the former Detroit idol, Matthew Stafford (who played with the Lions for 12 season from 2009 to 2020), connected a 50-yard touchdown pass with Puca Nakua to shorten the difference to four points.

Before half-time, both teams scored a touchdown, Brst Detroit thanks to a two-yard pass from Jared Goff (who played with the Rams from 2016 to 2020) to the closed winger Sam Laporta and then Los Angeles again with Stafford now Bnding Tutu Atwell in 34yard connection.

The defensives were closed in the second half.

Already in the third quarter, the defensives adjusted and limited the offensives to one Beld goal per team, Brst the Lions with Michael Badgley of 54 yards and then the aforementioned Maher for the Rams of 27 yards to put the cards 24-20, in that offensive series it seemed that Stafford would be injured by the shoulder and Carson Wentz would have to enter in his place, however, as a gladiator he did not miss a single play.

In the fourth period, the visitors approached only one point with the third Beld goal of Maher's match, this 29-yard one, however, the defense of the 'Motor City' closed at the climaxim to ensure the epic triumph.
