How many politicians and candidates have been murdered in Mexico?
We are just over four months away from biggest elections in the history of Mexico but unfortunately also of the more violent that there has been a record, according to specialists, because so far in the current electoral processhave been murdered in our country at least nine politiciansof which the majority were pre-candidates for any position of popular choice.

1. Ricardo Taja Ramírez
Just last year he was a former candidate for mayor of Acapulco Guerreroby the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) and was currently candidate for federal deputy by National Regeneration Movement (Brunette). The politician was shot dead on December 21, 2023, when he was in a pozolería located on Boulevard de las Unidas.
2. Alfredo Giovanni Lezama Barrera
Was councilor of Cuautla by the National Action Party (BREAD) and I aspired to be a local deputy By himself. 4. Sergio Hueso
Was candidate for the municipal presidency of Armería, Colimaby Citizen movement (MC). The 35-yearold politician was also murdered on January 5 when individuals aboard a motorcycle intercepted him while he was walking on Oaxaca Avenue in the El Pelillo neighborhood and opened Ire on him.
5. Miriam Ríos Ríos
Was municipal commissioner of Jacona, Michoacánand member of the Citizen Movement (MC) party as well as LGBT+ activistof which it was a part because it was a transgender woman.
