San Francisco 49ers, Mexico's team in the Super Bowl: THE STORIES OF FRED WARNER AND ISAAC ALARCÓN

-

Two Mexican-blooded players are part of the team that will face the Kansas City Chiefs on February 11

When the San Francisco 49ers play the Super Bowl LVIII against the Kansas City Chiefs next Sunday, February 11 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada will have two men of Mexican blood in their veins among the players on their payroll, one of them, a stellar player starting their defensive and the other is not properly part of the squad.

Fred Warner and Isaac Alarcón are the two members of the team led by head coach Kyle Shanahan who will represent our country in a different way in the game for the Vince Lombardi Trophy, in which the Northern California team will seek its sixth Super Bowl won and thereby tie in the overall lead against both the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New England Patriots.

Who is Fred Warner?

Federico Anthony Warner, was born 27 years ago in San Marcos, California and the Mexican heritage took her from her maternal grandfather who was born in our country, and her mother Laura has been in charge of teaching him everything she knows about that side of her lineage, even when the 49ers visited the Azteca Stadium in 2022 she proudly drew the )ag of Mexico in the game in which they defeated the Arizona Cardinals.

Three times elected to the Pro Bowl and the All-pro team, Warner has become a fundamental piece of San Francisco's fearsome defense since he was chosen in the third round (pick 70 global) in the 2018 Draft from BYU.

Who is Isaac Alarcón?

Unlike Fred Warner, Isaac Alarcón García was born in Mexico, speciically in Monterrey, Nuevo León 25 years ago, but also unlike his colleague, he has never been uniformed for a regular or post-season NFL game.

Product of the Borregos of the ITESM Campus Monterrey, Alarcón was placed on the squad of the Dallas Cowboys due to the NFL International Program and remained in the practice squad of the 'Equipo de América' until a few days before the 2023 campaign when he was released.

On January 23, 2024, the 49ers signed Alarcón in a future reserve contract, that is, it is not part of the current squad, although it will be taken into account for the next pre-season and although it is very likely that he will be in Las Vegas, it would not be part of the champion team if the 49ers are crowned on February 11.
