THD Community Meeting on Sexual Health
TULSA, OKLA – The Tulsa Health Department is organizing public meetings to raise awareness about women's sexual health in Tulsa County for ages 18 to 42. The event titled "Treat Me Right, Stop the Rise of STIS" is designed to facilitate important conversations about sexually transmitted infections, as well as gather feedback on how THD can actively help in reducing sexually transmitted infections in Tulsa County.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), one in five people in America has a sexually transmitted infection at any given time. THD received a grant for syphilis reduction from the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) to support this project.
The session taking place on February 15 will be presented entirely in Spanish. Women in the community aged 18 to 42 are cordially invited to attend. The event is free, and light refreshments will be offered to participants.
During the event, there will be free STI testing and free gifts for the first 20 participants.
Thursday, February 15 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The findings from the meetings will help prevent sexually transmitted infections, including syphilis and congenital syphilis.
