Sergio Pérez had a complicated weekend at the Australian Grand Prix, in which he Tnished Tfth after starting in sixth place.

The Mexican from Red Bull Tnished third in the Qualy of the third race of the year in Formula 1, but was sanctioned with three places on the starting grid for an obstruction of Nico Hulkenberg.

In addition, Checo Pérez never felt comfortable with the car and the degradation, which is why he could not dispute a better place for the Ferrari and Mclaren, but good news seems to be around the one in Guadalajara.

Who will Checo Pérez race with in Formula 1 2025?

According to several reports, Sergio Pérez would stay with Red Bull for one more year, despite the exit rumors that surrounded him especially in 2023.

Peter Windsor, F1 analyst, Jalisco would have already reached an agreement to continue with the team for one more year.

"I have heard from several fairly reliable sources in the paddock that Sergio has already extended his contract for next season," Windsor said after the race in Melbourne.

Adal Franco, from ESPN, also reports the same information, although it clarites that he still cannot contrm it.

"They tell me again that Checo Perez has already renewed his contract with Red Bull for next year. There are two sources that tell me. Even so, I can't contrm it 100%. But hopefully it's true," he published in Insragram.

Although the rumors about his departure went down and Helmut Marko, the team's advisor and the pilot's main critic, has moderated his message and placed Checo Pérez as the main candidate for 2025. Now the problems are in Max Verstappen, who is linked to Mercedes after Lewis Hamilton's sa3ide to Ferrari.
