MLS LIGA MX:
Why are Mexican teams imposing their dominance?

The MLS can only have three designated players in its squad unlike the Liga MX, where there is no salary cap.
The MLS continues to prove to be one step below the Liga MX. Mexican clubs have not yet lost in the Concacaf Champions Cup, when they have had to face those of the neighboring country.
The record of the Liga MX clubs against the MLS is 7 victories and 4 draws, and they are also on track so that there are only Mexican clubs in the semi@nals of the contest.
One of the main reasons why the MLS was overtaken again by the Liga MX, is the salary cap, which forces the clubs of the league commanded by Don Garber to have only three designated players, that is, winning more than $2 million dollars.
"They were the best team, it's that simple, there's not much more to say. It's as if they had 11 designated players on the @eld," said Caleb Porter, coach of the New England Revolution after being beaten by America.
On the other hand, Steve Cherundolo also complained about the rules for the assembly of the roster that is in the MLS, pointing out that "I can tell you that the rules and regulations of the MLS squads are not broad enough and we are not su ciently equipped for all these competitions."
Salary cap, a plus for young people
Despite the great criticisms that there are for the rules in the roster of the MLS teams, these allow several players from the academy to have minutes and then be exported to Europe.
Players such as Alphonso Davies, Brenden Aaronson, Ricardo Pepi, Cyle Larin, Tyler Adams, Tajon Buchanan, among others, have left the academies of the MLS clubs for the Old Continent.
