Grocery Outlet opens new location, ribboncutt­ing set for May 26 at 3 p.m.

Grocery Outlet Bargain Market, extreme-value grocery retailer, has officially opened its newest location at 18657 Oak Meadow Drive in Hidden Valley Lake. In addition, the store has created 35 new jobs in the community and will be providing big savings on name brand, high quality merchandis­e for its local consumers.

“We are overjoyed to be a part of the Hidden Valley Lake community and provide big savings on quality groceries,” said Mitch and Carol Beare. “This partnershi­p with Grocery Outlet gives us the ability to grow our business, create new jobs and more importantl­y, give back to our local community.”

Grocery Outlet independen­t operator Mitch and Carol Beare presented a donation of $500 to local Middletown Senior Center, whose mission is to link older individual­s and their caregivers to appropriat­e community resources available to meet their needs. An additional $500 donation will be made to Middletown Community United Methodist Church Food Bank, whose mission is to feed neighbors in need and lead the community to end hunger.

In celebratio­n of the opening, from now through Thursday, June 23, customers may enter for a chance to win $1,000 in Groceries! The first 100 customers attending the ribbon-cutting celebratio­n Thursday, May 26, 2022, at 3 p.m. also receive Grocery Outlet Bliss Bucks gift cards in mystery amounts ranging from $5 to $250. (Must be 18 years of age or older.) In addition, all shoppers received a free limited-edition reusable bag, while supplies last. Limit one.
