- — Submitted

At its first in-person community meeting in four years, the Sierra Club Lake Group will host an informed panel on the status of the Clear Lake Hitch (Chi) on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 6 P.M. at 3810 Main Street, Kelseyville, CA. The meeting is free and light snacks will be provided. Pre-registration is requested.

Panelists will share their latest information on the current Hitch run and progress in saving the large minnow found only in Clear Lake, as well as issues surrounding its protection.

“Come meet fellow nature enthusiasts and learn more about the status of this important indigenous imperiled fish,” suggested Sierra Club Lake Group Chair, Debra Sally. “The Hitch run is underway and we hope to find reason to celebrate progress.”

The event will be held at the social hall of the United Methodist Church of Kelseyville/Unitarian Universalists of Lake County. To register for the event, visit the Lake Group's online calendar at: www.sierraclub.org/redwood/lake.
