Las Vegas Review-Journal (Sunday)
#VegasMadness makes way for March Madness
We survived #VegasMadness. You know, the seven college basketball tournaments in Las Vegas over 10 days.
Now we make way for March Madness — aka the NCAA Tournament — which is not just another animal but a large mammal in Southern Nevada.
I’ve said it before, the NCAA Tournament is huge in Las Vegas. The first round is one of the biggest tourist weekends of the year, with the bonus that it stretches over four days.
We’re unflappable here at the Review-Journal. We’re ready for March Madness. The coverage, of course, begins late Sunday afternoon, when you can download your own bracket at ReviewJournal.com/Sports.
Then it ramps up in Monday’s print editions, which will feature multiple pages on the NCAA Tournament. You’ll find Mark Anderson and Ed Graney reviews of Selection Sunday, a ready-made bracket and capsules of all 68 teams.
On Thursday, we take it up another notch with an NCAA Tournament preview section, a first for the R-J. It will feature Anderson’s preview, Adam Hill’s review of his preseason 68 teams and capsules for all 32 first-round matchups.
And go to ReviewJournal.com later this week. In videos, Hill will break down his bracket, and videographer Elaine Wilson will poll the R-J Sports staff on Final Four picks.
Too much? Nah. It’s Madness, I tell you.
