DANIEL NITCHIE

-

Daniel David Nitchie passed away September 29, 2017. Born in the middle of an earthquake, Daniel David Nitchie began his epic journey of life. Living under his father, David Nitchie’s, care since age six after his mother, Barbara’s, passing in 1970. David recalls Dan being the kid he "never having to worry about." Daniel grew up being the eldest, alongside his brother, George, and sister, Pam. After graduating, Dan bravely signed up for the U.S. Army, where he was able to travel the world while serving our country. After his term, Dan went to accounting school, where he would not only end up in the profession for the remaining duration of his life, but meet the love of his life. In 2000, Dan met Deidre J. Stanley. From there would they would court one another until deciding to move in, where Dan would acquire two (step) daughters, Jessica and Shelby. The two sealed the deal for life July 9, 2010 and continued their list of places traveled together. Arizona, Utah, Michigan, and Hawaii...are a tiny list of where they went. Baseball and hockey games, breweries, funky small towns, breathtaking waterfalls is just another tiny list of things they did. Love, respect, honesty, honor and more love are some of the feelings they had while doing it. Services will be private. “You are missed, loved and never forgotten Dan.” In loving memory of Dan, we have created Dan and The Lions Den, a program in which we will help families the way we were helped throughout this process.
