The look of the Lights
Las Vegas’ new professional soccer team unveils its jerseys
Las Vegas Lights FC defender Joel Huiqui meet with fans following the unveiling of their jerseys. Singlegame tickets for the team’s spring training and regular-season games are on sale. The team played its first game Saturday and has two more exhibition matches Feb. 17 and 24. The regular-season home opener will be March 24 against Reno 1868 FC. The secondary sponsor for the team uniform is the Plaza hotel, represented on the shorts. Lights jerseys can be purchased at the Z’Boutique on the Zappos campus, 400 Stewart Ave., and also will be available at home matches. Online purchasing will be available soon through Zappos.com. Juan Carlos Garcia models the new Las Vegas Lights FC jersey. When a player scores a goal in soccer, a traditional way of celebrating is to lift his shirt. When a Lights player scores a goal, he can lift his shirt to reveal a smiley face with confetti, which is printed on the inside of the team’s jerseys. “We set out to make the boldest, most unique jersey in all of professional soccer, proudly representing the glitz, f lash and glamour of downtown Las Vegas,” said Brett Lashbrook, owner and CEO of the Lights. “Our club pushes the envelope every chance we get, and this was our biggest opportunity yet. We gave the creative lead to Zappos, and we couldn’t be prouder of the final product. We promise to make our fans smile.”
