■ Astros 4, Rangers 3 — At Arlington, Texas, George Springer hit a tiebreakin­g RBI single in the seventh for Houston, which overcame Charlie Morton’s six walks and AL record-tying four hit-batsmen. Texas left 17 runners on base.

■ Red Sox 4, White Sox 2 — At Boston, J.D. Martinez hit a tiebreakin­g two-run homer to back David Price (7-4), who allowed two runs over six innings while improving to 5-0 in his past six starts.

■ Angels 2, Twins 1 — At Minneapoli­s, Albert Pujols hit his 623rd home run and tied Stan Musial for seventh in RBIs with 1,951 to back Tyler Skaggs (5-4), who held Minnesota to one run over seven innings.

■ Tigers 4, Indians 2 — At Detroit, Jeimer Candelario hit a walk-off two-run homer with two outs in the 12th off Cody Allen (2-3) after starter Mike Fiers had held Cleveland to one run over seven innings.

■ Royals 2, Athletics 0 — At Oakland, Calif., Danny Duffy (3-6) shut out Oakland and struck out 10 over seven innings to outduel Chris Bassitt (0-1), who worked seven innings in his first start since Tommy John surgery in May 2016.

■ Rays 7, Mariners 3 — At St. Petersburg, Fla., Seattle native Blake Snell (8-3) held the Mariners to one earned run over six innings to beat Felix Hernandez (65) and halt Tampa Bay’s eight-game slide.

■ Blue Jays 4, Orioles 3 — At Toronto, Luke Maile walked on four pitches from Mychal Givens (0-2) with the bases loaded in the 10th to bring in the winning run as Toronto improved to 7-1 in extra innings.

National League

■ Cubs 2, Pirates 0 — At Chicago, Jon Lester (7-2) and two relievers combined on a one-hitter, a two-out triple by Austin Meadows in the third, to beat Sierra Vista product Nick Kingham (2-3), who allowed two runs over 6⅓ innings.

■ Diamondbac­ks 12, Rockies 7 — At Denver, Paul Goldschmid­t had his second straight two-homer game and drove in four runs for Arizona, which benefited from a double error by reliever Brian Shaw (2-5) that led to five unearned runs.

■ Brewers 12, Phillies 3 — At Philadelph­ia, Ji-Man Choi had a go-ahead, pinch-hit grand slam in the sixth, and Jesus Aguilar homered, doubled and drove in three runs for Milwaukee, which stayed atop the NL Central.

■ Cardinals 6, Reds 4 — At Cincinnati, Jose Martinez and Marcell Ozuna hit consecutiv­e home runs in the first, and Yadier Molina added a bases-loaded double for St. Louis in its 13th straight win over Cincinnati.

■ Padres 5, Marlins 4 — At Miami, Travis Jankowski hit a go-ahead single in the eighth that scored Hunter Renfroe, who had reached on a two-out double, after San Diego had wasted a 4-1 lead.

■ Braves 5, Dodgers 3 — At Los Angeles, Freddie Freeman and Charlie Culberson each had three of Atlanta’s 14 hits, and Tyler Flowers had a two-run double and an RBI single for the Braves.
