At South Bend, Ind., safety Jalen Elliott had two intercepti­ons that the Fighting Irish (2-0) converted to touchdowns on runs of 1 and 31 yards by Tony Jones Jr. The Cardinals (1-1) notched four sacks and intercepte­d three passes by Brandon Wimbush.

■ No. 19 Central Florida 38, South Carolina State 0 —

At Orlando, Fla., Adrian Killins Jr. rushed for 89 yards and two touchdowns for the Knights (2-0), who ran for 315 yards in their 15th straight victory. The Bulldogs (02) recorded three first-half intercepti­ons but mustered just 257 yards of offense, including 80 passing.

■ San Diego State 28, Sacramento State 14 —

At San Diego, Juwan Washington ran for 156 yards and three touchdowns on 36 carries, including two TDs in the fourth quarter to help the Aztecs (1-1) overcome a 14-13 deficit. Bryant Perkins scored on a 1-yard run and a 64-yard reception for the Hornets (1-1).

■ Colorado State 34, Arkansas 27—

At Fort Collins, Colo., Izzy Matthews scored from a yard out with eight seconds left for the Rams (1-2), who erased an 18-point second-half deficit to top the Razorbacks (1-1). K.J. CartaSamue­ls threw for 389 yards, finding Preston Williams 12 times for 154 yards and two Colorado State TDs.

■ Florida Atlantic 33, Air Force 27—

At Boca Raton, Fla., freshman Chris Robison was 33 of 40 passing for a program-record 471 yards and three touchdowns for the Owls (1-1) in their first win over a service academy. The Falcons (1-1) held Heisman Trophy candidate Devin Singletary to 57 yards on 16 carries, including a 36-yard TD.

■ Utah State 60, New Mexico State 13 —

At Logan, Utah, Savon Scarver returned a kickoff by New Mexico State (0-3) 100 yards for a touchdown, and Dominik Eberle kicked six field goals, including two from 51 yards, for Utah State (1-1).
