■ No. 4 Ohio State 40, No. 15 Texas Christian 28 —

At Arlington, Texas, defensive tackle Dre’Mont Jones returned an intercepti­on 28 yards for one of three touchdowns for the Buckeyes (3-0) in a four-minute span of the third quarter. Darius Anderson ran for two TDs for the Horned Frogs (2-1), including a program-record 93-yard sprint that was the longest play from scrimmage ever against Ohio State.

■ No. 5 Oklahoma 37, Iowa State 27 —

At Ames, Iowa, Kyler Murray threw for 348 yards and three touchdowns, and Marquise Brown had 191 yards receiving and a TD for the Sooners (3-0, 1-0), who extended the nation’s longest road win streak to 17 games. Zeb Noland threw for 360 yards and two TDs to Hakeem Butler for the Cyclones (0-2, 0-1).

■ No. 24 Oklahoma State 44, No. 17 Boise State 21 —

At Stillwater, Okla., Taylor Cornelius passed for 243 yards and two TDs and ran for a score for the Cowboys (3-0), who totaled seven sacks and held the Broncos (2-1) to 34 yards on 31 rushes. Brett Rypien passed for 380 yards and three TDs for Boise State.

■ Texas 37, No. 22 Southern California 14 —

At Austin, Texas, Sam Ehlinger passed for two touchdowns, and linebacker Anthony Wheeler returned a blocked field goal for a TD for the Longhorns (2-1), who trailed 14-3. J.T. Daniels threw for 322 yards for the Trojans (1-2), who totaled minus-5 yards rushing.

■ Texas Tech 63, Houston 49 —

At Lubbock, Texas, freshman Alan Bowman was 43 of 59 passing for 605 yards and five touchdowns, and Antoine Wesley had 13 catches for 261 yards and three TDs for the Red Raiders (2-1). Freshman Ta’Zhawn Henry ran for 111 yards and four TDs, including a go-ahead score in the third quarter. D’Eriq King threw for 431 yards and five TDs for the Cougars (2-1).

■ Duke 40, Baylor 27 —

At Waco, Texas, Quentin Harris threw for 174 yards and three touchdowns in his first start for the Blue Devils (3-0), who were outgained 400-399 in yards of offense. JaMychal Hasty returned a blocked punt 33 yards for a TD for the Bears (2-1), who trailed 23-0 at halftime.

■ Kansas State 41, Texas-San Antonio 17 —

At Manhattan, Kan., Skylar Thompson threw for 213 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 66 yards and a TD for the Wildcats (2-1). The Roadrunner­s (0-3) trailed 27-7 at halftime.

■ Kansas 55, Rutgers 14 —

At Lawrence, Kan., freshman Pooka Williams ran for 158 yards and a touchdown for the Jayhawks (2-1), who returned two of their three intercepti­ons for TDs and recovered three fumbles by the Scarlet Knights (1-2).
