At Mor­gan­town, W.Va., Will Grier threw for 332 yards and four touch­downs and com­mit­ted four turnovers for the Moun­taineers (5-0, 3-0), in­clud­ing three in­ter­cep­tions ei­ther in the end zone or at the goal line in the first half. Cor­ner­back Hasan De­fense had two in­ter­cep­tions for the Jay­hawks (2-4, 0-3), who mus­tered 286 yards of of­fense.

Iowa State 48, No. 25 Ok­la­homa State 42 —

At Still­wa­ter, Okla., third-string quar­ter­back Brock Purdy, a true fresh­man, was 18 of 23 pass­ing for 318 yards and four touch­downs and ran for 84 yards and a score for the Cy­clones (2-3, 1-2), who amassed a sea­son-high 465 yards of of­fense. Tyler Cor­nelius passed for 289 yards and four TDs for the Cow­boys (4-2, 1-2), who lost their sec­ond straight home game. Iowa State held Jus­tice Hill, the league’s top rusher, to 66 yards and a TD on 24 car­ries.
