No. 5 Notre Dame 19, Pittsburgh 14 —

At South Bend, Ind., Ian Book threw a go-ahead 35-yard touchdown pass to Miles Boykin with 5:43 left and totaled 264 yards passing for the Fighting Irish (7-0). Maurice Ffrench returned a kickoff 99 yards for a TD for the Panthers (3-4), who held Notre Dame to 80 yards rushing.

Virginia 19, No. 16 Miami 13—

At Charlottes­ville, Va., Brian Delaney kicked four field goals, including a decisive 30-yarder in the final minutes after tight end Evan Butts returned an onside kick 30 yards for the Cavaliers (4-2, 2-1). Malik Rosier’s 11-yard touchdown run brought the Hurricanes (5-2, 2-1) within 16-13 with 3:40 left, but Miami subsequent­ly was foiled by a personal foul against defensive tackle Tito Odenigbo.

Virginia Tech 22, North Carolina 19 —

At Chapel Hill, N.C., Ryan Willis threw a go-ahead 1-yard touchdown pass to Dalton Keene with 19 seconds left for the Hokies (4-2, 3-0), capping a 98-yard drive that included a fourth-and-9 conversion. Running back Michael Carter lost a fumble that started the decisive march. Dazz Newsome dropped a second-quarter pass that would have netted an 85-yard score for the Tar Heels (1-4, 1-2), who held a 524-375 edge in yards of offense.

At Atlanta, Daniel Jones threw for 206 yards and three touchdowns, including a go-ahead 48-yard strike to T.J. Rahming, for the Blue Devils (5-1, 1-1), who turned three fumbles by the Yellow Jackets (3-4, 1-3) into TDs in the final three minutes of the third quarter. Georgia Tech mustered 229 yards rushing, 144 off its nation-best average.

Duke 28, Georgia Tech 14 — Boston College 38, Louisville 20—

At Boston, David Bailey ran for 112 yards and a touchdown, Ben Glines ran for 107 yards, and running back Travis Levy recovered a blocked punt in the end zone for a score for the second straight week for the Eagles (5-2, 2-1). Jawon Pass threw for 170 yards and ran for a TD for the Cardinals (2-5, 0-4), who blew a 20-14 lead and lost their fourth straight.
