-

Patricia Ann Turner Scott, 85, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018, in Provo, UT, following an extended illness. Born in Heber, UT, to Mary Gladys and Grant William Turner, she was raised in Elko. She loved to spend her summers on her maternal grandparents’ farm in Vineyard, UT, playing with her many cousins and sharing music with her Grandpa Joseph. During her teenage years, Pat played piano at the Star Casino in Elko. She also played for many minstrel shows and musicals. In high school she was a cheerleader, homecoming queen and a fierce ping pong champion. She met her future husband, Mark, when she was 14 and he was 16. He rescued her from a barbed-wire fence. They were married five years later; and in 1963, were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Pat has always been very active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was both ward and stake Relief Society President. She spent her life sharing her talent of music, playing for almost every funeral, choir, soloist and musical in her Las Vegas area. Her children will always love the memory of going to sleep listening to beautiful music. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and daughter, Mary Lisa Scott. She leaves her daughters, Stefanie Owens (Chris), Ann Probert (Dudley), Karen Soderberg (Joe) and Bonnie Pruneda; 19 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
