Harden continues hot run, lifts Rockets past Pelicans

NEW ORLEANS — James Harden is on a run the NBA hasn’t seen since Oscar Robertson.

Harden had 41 points and six assists to become the first player since the Hall of Fame guard to record at least 35 points and five assists in seven consecutiv­e games, leading the Houston Rockets past the New Orleans Pelicans 108-104 on Saturday.

Harden had 26 points in the first half and reached 40 for the third straight game. Anthony Davis looked sluggish for New Orleans a night after scoring 48 points in a victory over Dallas, taking only five shots in the first half and totaling 22 points.

■ Warriors 115, Trail Blazers 105 —

At Portland, Ore., Klay Thompson scored 32 points, and Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant added 25 apiece for Golden State, which avenged Thursday’s onepoint loss to Portland. Damian Lillard scored 40 points for the Blazers.

■ Wizards 130, Hornets 126 —

At Washington, Trevor Ariza had 24 points and nine assists, leading seven doublefigu­re scorers for Washington, which won for the third time in 12 games. Kemba Walker scored 24 of his 47 points in the fourth quarter for Charlotte.

■ Nuggets 122, Suns 118 —

At Phoenix, Jamal Murray scored 46 points, hitting nine 3-pointers in a 16-for-24 shooting effort, for Denver. Rookie Deandre Ayton scored 24 of his seasonhigh 33 points in the second quarter and had 14 rebounds for Phoenix.

■ Spurs 122, Clippers 111 —

At Los Angeles, LaMarcus Aldridge had 38 points and DeMar DeRozan 25 points, 13 rebounds and six assists for San Antonio, which led by as many as 24 points in the fourth quarter.

■ Celtics 112, Grizzlies 103 —

At Memphis, Tenn., Kyrie Irving scored

22 of his 26 points in the second half and added 13 assists for Boston, which overcame a 19-point second-half deficit. Mike Conley had 26 points for Memphis.

■ Bucks 129, Nets 115 —

At Milwaukee, Giannis Antetokoun­mpo had 31 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds for Milwaukee, which hit 21 3-pointers. Shabazz Napier scored 32 points for Brooklyn.

■ Jazz 129, Knicks 97 —

At Salt Lake City, Rudy Gobert had 25 points and 16 rebounds for Utah, which held a 70-26 scoring edge in the paint and a 60-35 advantage in rebounds.

■ Hawks 111, Cavaliers 108 —

At Atlanta, Trae Young and Vince Carter scored 21 points each for Atlanta, which won for the fifth time in six games and handed Cleveland its sixth straight loss.
