College took our brother to Michigan State University for a degree in hotel administration. Using that degree to his advantage, he worked in his field for a number of years throughout California. A highlight of his professional career came in 1979, when Chris was chosen as the Resident Manager of the renown Old Faithful Lodge in Yellowstone National Park.

Following in his father's footsteps, Chris spent many years of active duty in the U.S. Navy. He was extremely proud of his service to our country, serving with distinction and retiring as a Captain.

As a resident of Las Vegas for nearly 40 years, he embraced a wide and diverse community. He tutored students at University of Nevada, Las Vegas, volunteered for the early shift at the USO, and devoted time and energy to his church. He spent many a night keeping the shelter open and warm for families in crisis.

Chris was a long-time member of the Community Lutheran Church choir, which brought him great pride and years of camaraderie and joy. In 2017, he travelled with the choir to Europe and was looking forward to appearing with them at Carnegie Hall this coming spring.

He was preceded in death by both parents, and his step-father Carl Neuhoff.

He is survived by his dear friend Tom TechasiRichard, Sun Valley, CA; his sister Susan Dalke, (Arthur) Medford, OR; brother Scott Daly, (Christina), Benicia, CA; sister Katherine Daly, (Ron Watters), Pocatello, ID; step-sisters Dorothy Neuhoff, Memphis, TN; and Eleanor Berghausen, (James), Hilton Head, NC; as well as many nieces, nephews, greats, and cousins. He was devoted to his family, and will always be remembered in that light.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
