Kenneth Le Roy Myers Jr., age 71, passed away in Henderson, December 31, 2018. He was born October 10, 1947, in Springfiel­d, OH, to Betty and Kenneth Myers. He graduated from Meadowdale High School in Dayton, OH in 1965. Ken married Joy Anita Belleville (Dayter) August 5, 1973 in Las Vegas. Ken joined the U.S. Air Force in 1972, and was an Avionics Technician working on F 111’s. He and his family moved all over the world, they settled down in the Las Vegas Valley in 1982. Ken retired as Master Sergeant in 1992 after 20 years of service with two tours in England and having worked with the 47 Nighthawks. Once retired from the U.S. Air Force, he started working for Immigratio­n as a FOIA Officer and Immigratio­n Service Officer retiring after 20 years. Ken was very proud to have served his country in both of his careers. Ken was a member of Crossroads Community Church. In his younger years, he was an outdoorsma­n and golfer. He enjoyed camping with his family. Ken loved to travel, learn about military history, going to museums, especially airplane museum and attending air shows. He loved football, remaining a loyal fan of the Cleveland Browns. Ken was a great grandpa – he truly enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. Ken is survived by his wife, Joy; four children, Natalie (Darryl) Gutierrez, Bonnie Myers, Nathan (Nicole) Myers and Jonathan (Jessica) Myers; 13 grandchild­ren; one great-grandson; three siblings, Kerry (Nancy) Myers, Bette Stekli, and Kevin (Darcel) Myers; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. Services will be at 11:20 a.m. Wed. Jan. 16, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Dr., Boulder City, Nevada 89005.
