Jeanann Ross Zager, nee Cohen, a longtime resident of the Las Vegas area, passed away January 3, 2019, at the age of 90. She was born April 24, 1928, in Detroit, Michigan to Sol Cohen and Rose Wallenberg. Following her graduation from Central High School in 1945, she pursued a career as a legal secretary with the Wayne County Michigan Road Commission. After relocating to Los Angeles, California in 1968, she became a Judicial Secretary with the Los Angeles County Courts. She retired from her career in public service in 1985 and then relocated to Las Vegas with her sister Sylvia Cohen. She was active in Little Theater production­s in the San Fernando Valley when residing in California. During her retirement, she remained active in public service as an election official in public elections and student elections at UNLV. She also remained active in Community Theater, performing with the Sun City Players, where she enjoyed playing comedic roles. Jeanann is survived by her husband, Dr. Bernard S. Zager. She and Dr. Zager were married in December of 2012. High school sweetheart­s, they found each other online after being out of contact for over 62 years. She will be laid to rest with her mother, Rose Cohen, and her sister Sylvia at Hillside Memorial Park and Mortuary in Los Angeles, California. Memorial services are pending at this time. Kraft Sussman Funeral Services in Las Vegas has been entrusted with her arrangemen­ts. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
