■ NO. 2 KANSAS 72, No. 20 Colorado 58: Ochai Agbaji scored 20 points and Devon Dotson 18 for the Jayhawks (7-1), who held the Buffaloes (7-1) to 26.9-percent shooting in the first half and led 3422 at intermissi­on.

David McCormack scored six of Kansas’ first eight points. Evan Battey led Colorado with 14 points.

■ NO. 3 MARYLAND 59, Illinois 58: Anthony Cowan Jr. scored 20 points, including a go-ahead free throw with 2.1 seconds left, for the Terrapins (10-0, 1-0 Big Ten), who erased a 15-point second-half deficit to edge the Illini (6-3, 0-1).

Cowan added seven rebounds and six assists, and Jalen Smith had 14 points and 13 rebounds for Maryland, which didn’t lead after halftime until Cowan’s free throw.

■ NO. 6 OHIO STATE 106, Penn State 74: Kaleb Wesson had 28 points and 10 rebounds for the Buckeyes (9-0, 1-0 Big Ten), who shot 57.4 percent and held the Nittany Lions (7-2, 0-1) to 25 rebounds — 19 fewer than their average.

Four players scored in double figures for Ohio State, which scored 100 points against a league foe for the first time since 1991. Izaiah Brockingto­n had 19 points for Penn State.

■ NO. 8 KENTUCKY 83, Fairleigh Dickinson 52: E.J. Montgomery scored 25 points for the Wildcats (71), who shot 52 percent and held the Knights (2-6) to 33 percent in their 600th win at Rupp Arena.

Kentucky became the fastest NCAA program to reach 600 wins in an arena, doing so in 670 games, besting UCLA (689 at Pauley Pavilion) and Kansas (699 at Allen Fieldhouse).

■ NO. 18 BAYLOR 63, No. 12 Arizona 58: Freddie Gillespie had 17 points and 13 rebounds for the Bears (7-1), who went on an early 15-0 run and held the Wildcats (9-1) to 33-percent shooting in the first half.

Arizona fans might have outnumbere­d Baylor fans; the Bears’ football team was playing in the Big 12 title game about 100 miles north.

■ NO. 13 OREGON 89, Hawaii 64:

Payton Pritchard had 20 points and 11 assists for the Ducks (7-2), who opened the second half with a 20-1 run to bury the Rainbow Warriors (6-3).

Eddie Stansberry hit seven 3-pointers and totaled 24 points for Hawaii, which managed a 34-34 tie. Oregon had lost two straight, and the Warriors had won three in a row.

■ No. 15 Memphis 65, ALABAMA-BIRMINGHAM 57:

Precious Achiuwa scored eight of his 14 points in the final four minutes for the Tigers (8-1). The Blazers (4-4) led

17-0 early and 40-26 at halftime.

UAB didn’t trail until the final 2:56. Memphis went on a 19-4 run over the final eight minutes. Jalen Benjamin scored 17 points for the Blazers.

■ No. 23 Villanova 78, SAINT JOSEPH’S 66: Saddiq Bey scored 22 points for the Wildcats (7-2), who led 41-25 at halftime before the Hawks (2-8) rallied to get within 65-62 with 4:03 left.

Ryan Daly scored 22 of his 32 points in the second half for Saint Joseph’s. Collin Gillespie scored 20 points for Villanova, which closed on a 13-4 run.

■ NO. 24 BUTLER 76, Florida 62: Sean McDermott and Aaron Thompson each scored 16 points for the Bulldogs (9-0), who shot 52 percent and held the Gators (6-3) to 44 percent.

■ NO. 25 UTAH STATE 77, Fresno State 70, OT: Sam Merrill had 24 points and eight rebounds for the Aggies (9-1, 2-0), who overcame 26.7-percent shooting in the first half to down the Bulldogs (2-6, 0-2).

■ UNR 100, AIR FORCE 85: Jalen Harris scored 31 points for the Wolf Pack (7-3, 1-0), who led 53-42 at halftime before the Falcons (4-6, 1-1) rallied for forge a tie at 68.

■ New Mexico 79, WYOMING 65: Carlton Bragg Jr. had 15 points and 15 rebounds for the Lobos (9-2, 2-0), who dealt the Cowboys (3-7, 0-2) their fourth straight loss.

■ BOISE STATE 75, Colorado State 64: Justinian Jessup hit seven 3-pointers and totaled 27 points for the Broncos (5-3, 1-1), who held a 15-5 scoring edge over the Rams (6-5, 0-2) on the fast break.
