No. 3 Notre Dame 45, Pittsburgh 3: At Pittsburgh, Ian Book passed for 312 yards and three TDs, two of them long catch-and-runs by Ben Skowronek, for the Fighting Irish (5-0, 4-0), who dealt the Panthers (3-4, 2-4) their fourth straight loss.

No. 11 Miami 19, Virginia 14: At Miami Gardens, Fla., Mike Harley had 10 catches for 170 yards and a TD for the Hurricanes (5-1, 4-1), who dealt the Cavaliers (1-4, 1-4) their fourth straight loss. Brennan Armstrong threw for two TDs for Virginia.

Wake Forest 23, No. 19 Virginia Tech 16: At Winston-Salem, N.C., walk-on freshman safety Nick Anderson had three intercepti­ons, and Christian Beal-Smith ran for 129 yards to lift the Demon Deacons (3-2, 2-2) past the Hokies (3-2, 3-2).

At Louisville, Ky., Javian Hawkins ran for 174 yards and three TDs for the Cardinals (2-4, 1-4), who amassed 569 yards to rout the Seminoles (2-4, 1-4) and halt a four-game skid.

Boston College 48, Georgia Tech 27: At Boston, Phil Jurkovec threw for 145 yards and two TDs and ran for 94 yards for the Eagles (4-2, 3-2), who beat the Yellow Jackets (2-4, 2-3) for the first time since 2007.
