Minnesota hands No. 7 Michigan first loss

MINNEAPOLI­S — Liam Robbins had 22 points and eight rebounds Saturday to lead No. 23 Minnesota past previously unbeaten No. 7 Michigan 75-57. The Gophers (11-4, 4-4 Big Ten) never trailed in their seventh straight game against an APranked team — the nation’s longest such stretch in 10 years. The Wolverines (11-1, 6-1), the Big Ten’s top-shooting team, had a season-low point total and a season-high 20 turnovers.

■ No. 1 Gonzaga 73, Saint Mary’s 59: At Moraga, Calif., Corey Kispert scored 17 points for the Bulldogs (14-0, 4-0 West Coast), who shot 53.8 percent held the Gaels (9-4, 0-2) to 34.9 percent.

No. 2 Baylor 68, No. 15 Texas Tech 60:

At Lubbock, Texas, Davion Mitchell scored 19 points for the Bears (12-0, 5-0 Big 12), who had won their prior 11 games by double digits. Mac McClung had 24 points for the Red Raiders (11-4, 4-3).

■ Butler 70, No. 8 Creighton 66, OT: At Indianapol­is, Aaron Thompson scored 17 points and found Bryce Nze for the go-ahead layup with 68 seconds left in overtime for the Bulldogs

(4-7, 3-5 Big East). Denzel Mahoney had 29 points for the Bluejays (10-3, 6-2), who led 71-58.

■ No. 18 Virginia 85, No. 12 Clemson 50: At Clemson, S.C., Sam Hauser and Tomas Woldetensa­e each hit four 3-pointers and totaled 14 points for the Cavaliers (9-2, 5-0 Atlantic Coast) in their 11th straight win over the Tigers (9-2, 3-2).

WOMEN Iowa State 75, No. 6 Baylor 71:

At Waco, Texas, Ashley Joens scored 14 of her 27 points in the fourth quarter for the Cyclones (9-4, 5-1 Big 12), who halted a 61-game home win streak by the Lady Bears (8-2, 3-1).
