Dunk in last seconds sends Jazz past Mavs

Doncic returns, but Utah ties series 2-2

SALT LAKE CITY — Rudy Gobert gave Utah the lead with an alley-oop dunk with 11.0 seconds left, and the Jazz held off Dallas 100-99 on Saturday in Game 4 to tie their first-round series.

Spencer Dinwiddie missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer for the Mavericks, who got guard Luka Doncic back after a three-game absence because of a left calf strain. The three-time All-Star had 30 points, 10 rebounds and four assists.

Utah held Dallas to 18 fourth-quarter points after surrenderi­ng a double-digit lead in the second half. The Mavs made just two baskets through the first seven minutes of the fourth and shot 33 percent overall in quarter.

Jordan Clarkson had 25 points, Donovan Mitchell 23 points and seven assists and Gobert 17 points and 15 rebounds for the Jazz. Gobert missed half of his 18 free throws. Jalen Brunson scored 23 points for Dallas.

■ Raptors 110, 76ers 102: At Toronto, Pascal Siakam scored 15 of his 34 points in the fourth quarter for fifth-seeded Toronto, which took an 80-77 lead into the final quarter and prevented a four-game sweep by fourth-seeded Philadelph­ia.

76ers center Joel Embiid started despite a right thumb injury that required him to wear a brace. The league MVP finalist scored 21 points on 7-for-16 shooting in 39 minutes. James Harden had 22 points for Philadelph­ia.

Gary Trent Jr. scored 24 points for the Raptors, who shot more free throws than the Sixers for the first time in the series. Toronto hit 28 of 35 at the line; Philadelph­ia was 21for-25.

■ Timberwolv­es 119, Grizzlies 118: At Minneapoli­s, Karl-Anthony Towns roared back from two rough games with a career playoff-best 33 points and 14 rebounds for seventh-seeded Minnesota, which tied the series 2-2.

Anthony Edwards scored 24 points for the Timberwolv­es, who relentless­ly attacked the basket and made 31 of 40 free throws.

Desmond Bane hit eight 3-pointers, including one at the final buzzer, and totaled 34 points for second-seeded Memphis.

■ Celtics 109, Nets 103: At New York, Jayson Tatum scored 39 points and Jaylen Brown 23 for second-seeded Boston, which played tight defense on All-Stars Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving while taking a 3-0 series lead.

Durant took only 11 shots and totaled 16 points, eight assists and eight rebounds. Irving missed 11 of 17 shots and also scored 16. Seventh-seeded Brooklyn got within three points late in the third quarter before fading.
