PATRICIA PENDLETON
Patricia Pendleton, 86, passed away on July 8th, 2022. Patsy was born on November 27, 1935 in Slayton, Texas, the second child of Richard and Mary Frances Enos and was predeceased by her parents and older sister Betty Trauba. She had an unusual childhood in that her family moved every four or five years. Her father worked for the Morris Knutson company which built hydroelectric dams throughout the western states.
In 1957, she received her R.N. from the Sacred Heart School of Nursing, associated with Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA. While working as a hospital nurse and physician's office nurse in Silicon Valley area of California, she attended the Dominican Academy of Family Studies in Los Gatos, CA. In 1986, she received an M.A. in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling and began her private practice as a psychotherapist. She was certified in Biofeedback instrumentation and was a pioneer in the use of this modality to reduce anxiety and depression.
She is survived by her husband, three children, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Patsy and her devoted husband, Ralph Pendleton, a retired physician, were married for 30 years. Mike, the eldest child and his wife, Laura Mcqueeney live in Colorado as do their sons Paul Thomas, Taylor Mcqueeney and Trevor Mcqueeney; and daughter Lauren Thomas and her children Isaiah, Mathias, Cameron, and Savannah. Patsy's second child, Anny Mcqueeney and her son Anthony Mcqueeney live in Arcata, CA. Patsy's third child, Alane Mcqueeney, lives in Las Vegas as do her two daughters, Tiffany Cook and Alicia Ramsey and Patsy's great grandson, Kail Valline. In 1957, she married to Kenneth Mcqueeney, an electrical engineer and the family lived in San Jose, CA. After 24 years, this marriage ended in divorce. In 1991, Patsy wed Dr. Ralph Pendleton. The couple moved to Sebastopol, CA where they became active members of the Community Church of Sebastopol. They took many cruises and excursions to Europe, Egypt, Mexico and South America. After Dr. Pendleton retired in 2008, they moved to Sun City-summerlin to be near her daughter Alane. Patsy and Ralph joined Mountain View
Presbyterian Church where they were nurtured by worship and fellowship. Patsy was devoted to her extended family. She was a creative, intuitive, witty, and skilled conversationalist. She was a member of the Sewing Club and Quilting Club. Although she dealt with chronic diseases (Lupus and Sjogren's), she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing bridge and scrapbooking.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Mountain View Presbyterian Church on Saturday August 13th at 10 AM.
