Sky beat Liberty in record rout to even WNBA series

Kahleah Copper scored 20 points and Courtney Vandersloo­t 16 to help No. 2 seed Chicago to a record 100-62 rout of visiting No. 7 seed New York to tie the first-round WNBA playoff series and force a decisive Game 3 on Tuesday in New York. Candace Parker had 12 points and 12 rebounds for the defending champion Sky, who broke their league record for largest postseason victory margin, set last year when they won by 36 in Game 3 of the Finals.

■ NCAA: Former Florida forward Keyontae Johnson, who hasn’t played since collapsing during a December 2020 game, will resume his career at Kansas State with one year of eligibilit­y left. The 23-year-old Norfolk, Virginia, native averaged 14.0 points and 7.1 rebounds in 2019-20 but didn’t receive medical clearance from Florida to play after his collapse.
