■ RECAP: The Lights fell behind by a goal before coming back with two of their own in the first half. Daron Iskenderian broke a tie just before halftime with a left-footer from close range to the top-left corner. Christian Torres had the equalizer in the 22nd minute, left-footing a shot from the center of the box off an assist from Álvaro Quezada. Douglas Martinez converted a penalty for the Republic, burying a right-footed shot to the bottom left corner in the ninth minute.

■ IN THE NETS: The Lights did well to limit the Republic to two shots on frame, and goalkeeper Abraham Romero finished with one save. Republic goalkeeper Carlos Saldana stopped three shots in target.
■ ALSO: The Lights pulled three points behind Sacramento for fifth place in the USL’S Western Conference, despite being outshot 15-12. The Republic controlled possession (60.6 percent) and had more corner kicks (9-3). The Lights were called for three of the match’s five corner kicks and 13 of the contest’s 29 fouls.
