GEORGIE DOKTER MAKEEVER

Georgie Dokter Makeever (78) passed away on August 21,

2022 at her home "on the ranch" in Bradenton, Florida. Georgie was born on July 30, 1944 in Victoria, Texas to Derald D. Dokter of Missoula, Montana and Betty Ham Dokter of Las Vegas, Nevada. She enjoyed her extensive travels around the world as a child of a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Air Force. She graduated from Las Vegas High School in 1964. Georgie married the love of her life before moving to Bradenton, Florida in 1964. She was a dominant force in the Manatee County Little League organization for many years as well as a reliable volunteer for the Manatee County School District. Georgie was a devoted, loving wife, mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother. She lived her life with strength and grit. She was preceded in death by her parents Derald D. Dokter and Betty H. Dokter. Georgie is survived by Donald S. Makeever, her loving husband of 58 years; their three sons Garrett Makeever of Bradenton, Todd Makeever of Los Angeles, and Dale Makeever of Bradenton; five grandchildren, Sean, Kyle, Jordan, Dawson and Ethan; a great-granddaughter, Riley; and her brother Gary Dokter of Boise, Idaho. The Makeever Family requests memorial donations be made in lieu of flowers to the American Lung Association and Tidewell Hospice of Lakewood
